Commitment to QualityOne of our seven strategic goals is Quality Care and Service. As we have defined the goal, it is to ensure that the affiliated dental group practices provide high quality, high value dental care and service. Sounds good but how do you prove it ... how do you ensure that it is happening? Truth be told, in many dental practices it cannot be proven. Structure and process to ensure that quality care is being pursued and delivered is often lacking. American Dental Partners and our affiliated dental practices recognize that to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes in care, there must be structure and process in place. We broadly define our initiative in quality care and service as the professional agenda, two simple words that identify an incredibly intensive initiative that takes years to accomplish. A cornerstone of our commitment to quality is that each of our affiliated practices pursues accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care ("AAAHC"), an independent not-for-profit organization. Accreditation is a process through which each affiliated dental group practice measures its quality of care and service against nationally recognized standards in areas such as quality assurance, clinical records, environmental safety, governance, administration and professional development. Accreditation is quite difficult to achieve. Nonetheless, ten of our affiliated dental practices have achieved accreditation.
American Dental Partners' Professional Leadership ForumOur Professional Leadership Forum provides an opportunity for representatives from each of our affiliated practices to share clinical knowledge and seek best practices. In addition, the forum provides an opportunity to build professional relationships with other dentists who are affiliated with American Dental Partners. |
