The comprehensive knowledge and expertise of our Leadership Team encompasses the broad array of disciplines needed to build and maintain successful dental practices — while drawing on key capabilities and perspectives gained from previous positions outside the industry. Over half of these industry experts have been with American Dental Partners for nearly its entire history.
Today, the members of our Leadership Team continue to provide thought leadership, bold ideas and innovative solutions, helping to elevate the practice and delivery of quality dental care across the expanse of the ADPI network.
Kevin M. Trexler
Chief Executive Officer
Kevin Trexler joined American Dental Partners in 2015 as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Trexler had been employed by DaVita in various roles since 2006, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations, in which capacity he had oversight of and responsibility for more than 700 dialysis clinics. Prior to DaVita, Mr. Trexler served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
Chief Operating Officer
Michael Anderson joined American Dental Partners in 2017 as the SVP of Operations and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2018. Mr. Anderson had been employed by DaVita in various roles since 2000, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations and brings over 25 years of healthcare experience.
Chief Financial Officer
Christine Emma joined American Dental Partners in 2017 as Vice President and Corporate Controller and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2019 and Chief Financial Officer in 2020. Ms. Emma has over 20 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and management within the life sciences and technology industries for various companies including PerkinElmer and Nuance Communications. She is a graduate of Bentley College, where she received her MBA in Corporate Finance and Securities Law and bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Vice President, Marketing
Mark Rutherford joined American Dental Partners in 2016 and serves as the VP Marketing. He has over 20 years of experience with senior level marketing roles. Prior experience includes heading up Direct to Consumer marketing for Bose Corporation and leading the marketing function for a Philips Healthcare business unit.
Vice President, Organizational Development
Melanie Manne joined ADPI in 2009 and serves as a member of ADPI’s national leadership team responsible for Organizational Development and Human Resources. Melanie has 20 years of OD and HR experience including Leadership Development, HR Management, Compensation & Benefits and Talent Acquisition in various industries.
Chief Information Officer
Todd has over 20 years’ experience in multisite healthcare services leading teams in areas of IT architecture, development, deployment and operations. Most recently, Todd worked at a technology company in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and pharmaceutical industries. Todd graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and from Bentley University with a Master’s of Business Administration.
Chief Development Officer
Paul Lamendola joined American Dental Partners in 2016 after 25 years of healthcare management and M&A experience. He is responsible for coordinating ADPI’s national growth strategy. Prior to joining ADPI, Mr. Lamendola served as Vice President of Corporate Development for DaVita Healthcare Partners, and has held senior business development roles at US Oncology, PatientKeeper and Quest Diagnostics.
Dr. Ray Scott
VP of Clinical Development
Dr. Ray Scott served as the President of Carus Dental, one of ADPI’s original affiliates, for over 20 years. In 2018 he joined American Dental Partners as VP of Clinical Development. Dr. Scott became Chief Dental Officer in June of 2020. He has served on the Board of Directors for the American Dental Partners Foundation since it’s inception in 1999. Dr. Scott has over 35 years of dental experience in clinical and leadership roles. He has degrees from Texas State University and University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.
