Frequently Asked Questions

What is a text message (SMS)?

A text message or SMS (“Short Message Service”) is a text-based message sent to or received by your mobile phone.

What is a short code?

A short code is a five or six-digit number used as an address for SMS messages that functions like a phone number. The short code for ADPI is 61865.

Are text commands case-sensitive?

No. Commands can be sent in lowercase or all capital letters.

What should I do if I get a new phone or phone number?

As long as you have the same phone number, you don’t need to do anything to continue texting with us. If your phone number changes, you will have to provide the office with your updated phone number.

Will texts work on my mobile phone?

ADPI texts will work as long as your carrier supports text messaging. Check with your carrier for details about text messaging charges.

Is ADPI texting secure?

A wireless text message is not a secure communication. You should never send sensitive personal information by text message. However:

  • We do not send any sensitive personal information via text message
  • We do not send unsolicited text messages

ADPI texting is covered by our terms and privacy policy. Our Privacy Policy can be found at:
